Les Jalles, Bistro Volnay found its older brother

For those who follow a little parisian gourmet news, it was hard to miss the opening of the restaurant Les Jalles in the 2nd arrondissement. Launched since april 2012 by the same owners as the Bistro Volnay, restaurant Les Jalles has seen all food journalists in Paris. The mass was said after visiting the lyrical François Simon who called the restaurant “exquisite little bomb”. There was enough to whet my curiosity. Reservation was taken after the media storm passed one evening in august.

Should go ? I highly recommend it. If your budget is tight, prefer Bistro Volnay, otherwise go rather to Les Jalles.

With ? No matter as long as you want to spend a quiet evening in a nice and chic place.

Go back ? Yes I’ll return but I’ll watch the evolution of the menu. Please note that the restaurant is open every day, which is increasingly rare in Paris.

Expensive ? Count one hundred euros for a full meal in the evening. I found the prices reasonable and justified.
