Table and its express lunch Menu
Table has a lot of talk since its opening in 2013. Praised by some and strongly criticized by others, the gourmet restaurant of Bruno Verjus left no one indifferent. Not far from the Place d’Aligre, Table offers a seasonal menu where the quality and origin of products are put on a pedestal and ostensibly claimed. However, this activism has a price and confined almost Parisian elitism. For this reason, I never walked through the doors of this institution. With the recent creation of an affordable lunch menu, I went there hoping to join the interesting approach of the Chef.
Snails from Baie de Somme, Egg yolk, nettle Cream, wild garlic and wild flowers
Farm Poultry infused with herbs and roasted on a spit, mashed carrots with watercress, orange & saffron
Three vanilla Ice cream and citrus Shortbread
Should go ? If I limit myself to Express lunch Menu, it’s a good way to get an opinion about this address. I liked the setting, the menu and, of course, the quality of products offered. Bruno Verjus’ approach is great but Table refers to the idea that food quality is always the privilege of the rich. I personally struggled to subscribe to it. Anyway, there definitely was an audience for this kind of restaurants.
With ? Showbiz friends…
Go back ? If a real Chef is recruited to sublimate these beautiful products through original creations so I will go again.
Expensive ? €29 for the Express Lunch Menu. About €75 à la carte without wine. At lunch, two tasting menus at €60 and €120. Value of Money isn’t there. In the neighborhood, I prefer Will or Clandestino.
Restroom ? Beautiful.

Résumé : Acclaimed by some and strongly criticized by others, Bruno Verjus' Table restaurant left no one indifferent. Not far from the Aligre Place, Table offers a seasonal menu where the quality and origin of products are widely promoted. The menu now displays an affordable lunch menu to get an idea of the approach of the Chief. The setting and service are nice, the product quality is excellent but the food is too frugal and simple. I encourage this approach to provide exceptional products, but at this price, it refers to the idea that guilt food quality is the privilege of the rich. €29 for express lunch menu and about €75 à la carte without wine.
